EB üçün Harrinin London Marafonu hekayəsi

My marathon inspiration
I’m running the London Marathon for my beautiful sister, Holly.
Although Holly has a less severe form of EB (epidermoliz bullosa simplex və ya EBS), the condition still presents her with daily challenges.
DEBRA have been there throughout Holly’s journey providing support and guidance, from when she started primary school, to now throughout her pregnancy. Holly visits the specialist EB səhiyyə komandası at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital in London. The charity work in partnership with the NHS and other organisations to make sure those with EB get the healthcare and wellbeing support they need.
My family and I have stayed in one of the DEBRA tətil evləri, and have been to a number of DEBRA üzvlərinin tədbirləri where we were able to connect with other families affected by EB. Holly also gave a talk at one of the events about her experience of living with EB.
My family and I are immensely grateful for DEBRA’s support, and I wanted to give something back to the charity.
Following in my dad’s footsteps

Qaçaraq London Marafonu has been a goal of mine ever since I watched my dad run it for DEBRA back in 2010. After applying unsuccessfully to run in London last year, I decided to run the Brighton Marathon əvəzinə.
It was an incredible experience, and I will never forget crossing the finish line after what felt like an eternity! Having all my friends and family there to support me made it so special and I can’t wait to soak up the atmosphere of the London Marathon in 2025.

Mənim EB təsirim
My hope is that by raising money, I can enable DEBRA to continue doing their amazing work, whilst also raising awareness for what is still a relatively unknown condition. More importantly, I hope I can inspire others to take on a fandreyzinq problemi özlərinin.
Training for the London Marathon has given me a real sense of purpose and has been great for my physical and mental health. Not only this but knowing that your hard work is helping to raise funds for such an amazing cause is an incredibly rewarding experience.
